Brief Description

Due to successful completion of a similar project, the end client National Oilwell Varco requested KpH Environmental to undertake the dismantling and removal of 3no. Paint Booths and associated internal ductwork, 2no. Oil Interceptors and cleaning of the wash bay areas, working on behalf of WSP. The property is of steel portal frame construction under an overclad pitched metal roof with full height metal cladding to the elevations, the full site spans 186,357 sq. ft.

Scope of work

The first phase of the works was the removal of the Hazardous Waste from within the Paint Booth Filters and Ductwork and cleaning of the Interceptors and Drainage. Throughout the works careful consideration was taken working around other contractors, removal of all the waste and extensive cleaning down of the site ready to hand back to the client. Due to our performance onsite, we were also awarded additional works, that were completed within the original programme.

Working off a MEWP to Deconstruct/dismantle internal ductwork associated with Paint Booths
Deconstruct/dismantle and dispose of 3no. Paint Booths utilising 13tonne rubber tracked machine fitted with attachments
Empty and clean out 2 oily-water filled bunds
Clean wash bay area, including surround oily asphalt area, and the wash bay walls, and empty a small associated catch pit
Pressure wash factory floor and remove oily washings via vac tanker including internal concrete sumps and shallow cable ducts
Clean & degas 2no. oil interceptors, jet out drainage runs and gully pots and dispose of waste
