Client: MCC Lords Cricket Ground
Project: Water Tank Removal, Cricket Ground St John’s Wood, London
Brief Description:
KpH were awarded the project to remove a redundant water storage tank by the renowned MCC Lords Cricket Ground. The tank was located in the loft space of the office area, which is Grade II Listed Building.Scope of Works:
The 1,500ltr steel Braithwaite Water Tank was located in the roof space above working offices so careful planning was required for the safe removal of the tank and without damage to the surrounding areas.- The team started works by protecting the carpet areas with Corex, around the hatch and through to the rear staircase and setting up a secured double ladder for safe access into the loft. Scaffold boards were used to span the joists and make a safe working area around the water tank.
- We reduced the tank into manageable sections utilising cold cutting methods, carefully removing these via the hatch and down three sets of stairs. The tank and all associated pipework were safely removed to a licensed facility.
- Finally we carried out the dismantling and removal, maintaining high standards of work and health and safety before being passed back to the client.
